STAR ATTRACTION:
Travelbound’s
Château du Molay, Normandy
The perfect first step beyond the classroom, Normandy offers
students the chance to explore, discover and grow – all from
the safety of a trusted base, the Château du Molay.
A place to begin their journey
Space to learn, space to grow
Owned and operated by Travelbound, who have been
providing UK schools with educational tours worldwide
for over 30 years, the Château du Molay has become
a rite of passage for many schools as the highlight of
their academic calendar. Where a school trip may be
a student’s first foray abroad, the experience is much
more than just a change of scenery. It’s a moment when
they begin to see the world beyond their own doorstep.
At Travelbound’s Château du Molay in Normandy, that
journey starts in a place designed to keep students safe,
engaged and inspired.
The Château du Molay is more than accommodation.
It’s a place where history lessons can take place a short
drive from the D-Day landing beaches, where language
skills are tested in local markets and where new
friendships are built over evening activities such as
team games, crêpe evenings or the much-loved disco.
Set in 38 acres of secure parkland, the Château du Molay
gives group leaders a calm base for their students to
return to after days of exploration. Its location – just nine
miles from Bayeux – means most of Normandy’s major
landmarks are within easy reach. You decide how to
shape the days. Travelbound make sure everything
runs smoothly.

Students can now enjoy 12 on-site activities, including
a heated swimming pool (May-September), archery
tag, frisbee golf and a survival course. All instructorled activities ensure students are properly supervised,
allowing group leaders to keep an eye on behaviour.
It’s a balance of cultural discovery and personal
development – all in one trip.
