EVC Magazine Autumn 2025_digital - Flipbook - Page 3
First word...
Thank you to our supporters
who have made this edition
of The EVC Magazine possible:
D
ay visits and UK residentials are the
most common type of educational
visit – and they’re thriving. In 2024/25 in the
UK, children and young people took part in
305,280 day trips*, bringing learning to life
through hands-on memorable experiences.
Here at The EVC Magazine, we know that what makes
a visit successful is often the practical detail, and that’s
where our advice articles and bitesized tips come in. From
travel logistics and funding hurdles to managing allergies
and keeping parents informed, this issue is packed with
guidance you can use right away.
We’ve also got a timely spotlight on visiting cities, with
insights into how current events and the introduction of
Martyn’s Law are shaping planning and risk management
for UK visits.
You’ll hear from The Bioasis about UK-based conservation
expeditions, get expert advice from The Allergy Team on
supporting pupils with allergies, and discover from Teacher
Tapp what teachers really think about educational visits.
This issue also features the Royal Liberty School and
their inclusive visits programme, and an interview with
the Focus Trust, exploring how multi-academy trusts are
tackling visits across their schools.
As always, we’d love to hear from you – whether it’s a
success story or a challenge overcome. Get in touch at
hello@theevcmagazine.com and help us to keep sharing
what works.
All best wishes,
Nikki
