EVC of the Year Award
Are you, or do you know, an excellent EVC?
EVOLVE Advice has launched a new international
award to recognise and celebrate EVCs who make
a lasting impact through educational visits. Entries
will be assessed by a panel of judges who are
looking for leadership and compliance, impact on
pupils, innovation and enrichment, and professional
development and legacy.
The winner will receive £1500 in funding to spend on
educational visits for their school as well as a goody
bag, trophy and a funded place at the National
Educational Visits Conference.

Travel to Europe –
know before you go
The European Entry/Exit Scheme (EES) came into
force on 12 October 2025. This requires all passengers
entering the Schengen Area to provide biometric details
on entry and may impact travel times at ports, airports
and rail terminals.

School travel pilot scheme
An optional pilot scheme for school groups travelling
from the UK to France via the Port of Dover aims to
reduce disruption (and paperwork) for school groups
travelling on this specific route.

UK/Germany visa-free travel
An agreement between the UK and Germany is
expected to enable visa-free travel for school groups
from the end of 2025.
