Normandy: a living classroom
In Normandy, history is not just in the pages of a textbook
– it’s in the cobbled streets of Bayeux, the sands of the
D-Day beaches and the flavours of fresh crêpes shared
with friends. Every excursion is a chance for students to
connect learning with lived experience.

3. EXPERIENCE – over 30 years of welcoming
school groups from across the UK.
4. SAFETY – Travelbound are fully assured
members of the School Travel Form (STF) and

Quality Badge (LOtC). Fully bonded by ABTA.
“The outdoor space feels safe and secure, which
I think is reassuring for parents. Parents feel they
get really good value for money because the
children have stuff going on from dawn until dusk,
so they’re always occupied and they’re getting
really rich experiences doing so many things. It’s a
kid-only zone.”
“Staying at the château helps with their
independence, their organisation, their problemsolving – it’s not always stuff you can quantify,
but being away from home, learning how to
pack a suitcase on the way back, they have to
organise themselves.”
The Chase School
“The trip was action-packed with trips and visits,
which were varied – from historical to culinary –
and gave students a great taste of French culture
and society. Students had opportunities to use
their French in and around different towns and at
the Château. The Château itself was a fantastic
base and students really made the most of both
the outdoor and indoor facilities – from having
a kick around outside to using the games room
and tuck shop. Staff were friendly and helpful,
giving tips and recommendations. Both staff and
students thoroughly enjoyed the trip.”
