LEADING THE WAY
What drives these leaders to support educational visits and
learning beyond the classroom?
“
OEAP members provide guidance, activities,
training and support for outdoor learning and
educational visits.
For schools:

CLOtC helps schools harness support
from all the different LOtC sectors, and
working together their impact is so much
greater than the sum of their
parts. This is reflected by the
commitment of our LOtC Mark
schools, who generously offer
their support and mentoring
to other schools, and by our
wonderful team of staff and
trustees.

My background is in teaching
geography, and residential
environmental and outdoor
education. Since taking up this
role I have greatly expanded my
own understanding of the breadth
of outdoor learning and met
dedicated practitioners who are
willing to freely share their depth
of knowledge with others.
School visits are essential in
helping to shape resilient and
inquisitive children. I love that part
of my role is helping to make these
special visits easier to organise and
therefore hopefully available to
more children.

transformative power of
physical education, and
physical education for
life, in shaping lives.
