UK-France school groups border pilot
scheme to speed up border crossing
A pilot initiative is operating at the Port of Dover to
help simplify and speed up border processes for
school groups travelling from the UK to France.

Enrichment framework – an opportunity for
learning beyond the classroom?
The government has announced that it will develop an
enrichment framework to support young people’s access
to the arts and enrichment activities. This is linked to the
wider Curriculum and Assessment Review and Children’s
Wellbeing and Schools Bill.
The framework will be developed by DfE, DCMS and a
working group of experts from schools, youth, sports
and arts organisations, and research bodies. It will
highlight effective practice in enrichment activities and
provide advice for schools on planning for high-quality
enrichment in sport and the arts.
This is an opportunity to recognise the contribution
of learning outside the classroom for young people’s
education and personal development.
